B.A.S.I.C Program – Youth in Nature Conservation

Youth are the leaders of the future. Harmonization of human life and nature is fostered from now on. Come see their excitement in the following story:

As future leaders, young people wherever they are hold the main key to harmony in nature and life in the present and future.  As future leaders, young people wherever they are,  hold the main keys to creating a balanced life with nature, in the present and future. YKAN, through the B.A.S.I.C (Become A Steward in Conservation) program voluntarily involves high school students to increase awareness of nature conservation and learn to convey conservation messages to the public in creative ways.

This 5-day program was carried out holistically, including delivering material in class, visits to the Muara Angke Wildlife Reserve, the location of the YKAN booth in the mall, interspersed with group discussions with scientists. It is hoped that this provision of experience and knowledge will continue to grow to realize real action together for conservation efforts #Forasustainableindonesia.

Partners members of the FIPs are also becoming more aware of and complying with the requirements set out in FIPs, for example, reducing catches of juvenile fish by at least 5 percent.

Orangutans are known as forest farmers because they are tireless and selfless; they sow seeds that will later be called tree crowns (new trees) every day.
