This sub-strategy encourages participatory integrated watershed (DAS) management in Muria Mountain area, Kudus, Central Java, and Cisadane River upstreams Halimun-Salak Mountain National Park, West Java, to support and develop water conservation commitments by establishing multi-stakeholder collaboration spaces, strengthening technical capacity, and developing DAS management scientific bases.
To actualize water stewardship and sustainable water resources management, Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) and Alliance for Water Stewardship Indonesia (AWS Indonesia) initiated the Indonesia Water Coalition with partners. The Indonesia Water Coalition encourages collective action aligned with the regional water governance, including implementing Alliance for Water Stewardship’s International Standard and implementing best practices that support sustainable water resources management.
